If you change your address or other personal information, contact the library and we’ll update your record. It is important for us to have your current information. Please note that you must show your library card in order to check out items. A $2.00 charge for a replacement card will be charged. If you lose your library card, you are responsible for any items checked out on your card.You must report it as lost immediately.

You may also look at our catalogue from home over the Internet, and access your account to place holds, keep lists and renew items.

Your library card provides access to licensed databases from outside the library. (See Loan Periods and Fines for details). You are responsible for all the materials borrowed on your card and for any charges on items that are overdue, lost or damaged. Library card holders’ rights and responsibilities Non-residents who aren’t eligible for a BC OneCard can purchase a temporary library card for $35.00/person or $40.00/family, which is valid for 12 months. Members of other BC libraries may be eligible for a BC OneCard, which would give them borrowing privileges at Houston Public Library.
